The Lenox manufacturing plant in Kinston, NC, is the only fine bone china factory in the United States.

Finished Edge Creedmore Road Figured I wooden bowl. Made from red maple by North Carolina artist Jason Van Duyn. Measures 4 x 6".

A woodworker by trade, Jason focuses primarily on the creation of thin wall asymmetrical, irregular, and off balance natural edge turned sculpture, referred as hollow forms or vessels. Nearly all of his work comes from one solid piece of wood. The wood is reclaimed from old homestead, farms, churchyards, fallen trees, and storm damage that otherwise might be discarded as yard waste or burned.

The pattern on this lamp is tobacco leaf, based on a design from Chinese Export Porcelain in the 18th century. It's 27 colors were very popular in England & America

His "Smoke Grinder" is a hand carved perpetual motion machine conceived, designed and carved by Jeff. Held together without nails or glue but with pegs instead, it can be taken apart and reassembled by anyone smart enough to attempt it.

Approximately 8" wide and 12 " high, it makes a perfect, quirky centerpiece or free standing sculpture. Each sculpture is unique, without a twin anywhere and takes him about 36 hours to make. The Base and Cross piece are made from babinga wood ; the white wood is all maple ; the Gears are oak, and all the Pegs are walnut.
